After you verify for your community, you’ll be eligible for deals and discounts with ID.me partners. To browse the offers available to you, visit ID.me Shop. This article explains common troubleshooting steps when trying to claim discounts.
Before you claim discounts
Before you can claim discounts, you need to verify for a specific community.
How to claim your discount
After you’re verified, to claim a discount:
- Go to ID.me Shop.
- Select Sign in, then sign in to your ID.me account. You’ll be redirected to the ID.me Shop.
- Select the “See Offers For” dropdown and choose the membership you verified for. This filters what offers are available for each community.
- Find a discount you’re interested in, then select Shop Now. You’ll be redirected to the brand’s website and be given instructions for how to claim your discount. For example, you may be given a promo code to enter at checkout.
- Add items to your cart, then go to checkout.
- In checkout, redeeming a discount can be done in several ways:
- Your discount is applied automatically.
- You are given a promo code to enter.
- You select the ID.me button to verify and redeem your discount.
- Enter your information to complete the purchase.
My discount wasn’t added at checkout
While some discounts are automatically applied at checkout, you may need to select the ID.me button and verify or enter a promo code. Steps to troubleshoot your discount depend on which discount type you’re redeeming.
If the automatic discount isn’t being applied or if you selected the ID.me button:
- Make sure that your community matches the offer you’re trying to claim.
- Some offers are restricted to members of a sub-community. For example, an offer may only be available to active duty service members rather than veterans.
- Double check that the item you want is eligible for a discount. Certain items may be excluded from discounts. Check the partner website for more information.
If your promo code isn’t working:
- Review your promo code and enter it again to ensure you entered it correctly.
- Double check that the item you want is eligible for a discount. Certain items may be excluded from discounts. Check the partner website for more information.
- Make sure you haven’t previously used the same code.
I’m not sure which community I verified for
If you think you verified for a community in the past, but you’re not sure which one, you can confirm this in your ID.me Wallet. To confirm which community you have verified for:
- Sign in to your ID.me account.
- Under “My IDs”, select Manage IDs.
- In your ID.me Wallet, look under “Active IDs”. The ID card for the community you verified for will be in your ID.me Wallet.
If you don’t see any community cards, you will need to verify for a community.
My community verification expired
Community verification cards may expire, depending on the community you verified for. If your card expired, follow the steps to re-verify your community card in Using your ID.me Wallet.
I’m in Canada and can’t claim an offer
The Canadian ID.me Shop has discounts and offers specific to residents in Canada. You must verify for a community to claim these offers. Canadian discounts and offers can only be accessed from the Canadian version of the partner site.
Make sure:
- You are accessing the offer from the Canadian partner site. You must search “Canada” in the ID.me Shop search bar to access offers and discounts specific to Canadian residents.
- You verified as a Canadian resident on your account. US verifications will not work for Canadian offers.
Discounts for hospital employees
Hospital employees who work at a hospital, medical facility, or health care facility, but who do not fall under the Medical Provider or Nurse community, may still qualify for discounts. To find what discounts are available, go to ID.me Shop and search “Hospital employee.”
