I didn’t get a text message link
To take photos of your documents using your smartphone, you’ll enter your phone number when prompted and receive a text from ID.me’s 5-digit number. If you don't get the text, visit I didn't receive a text message to take a photo or selfie.
My camera didn’t work
You must grant ID.me permission to access your device’s camera during the verification process. When prompted, select “OK” or “Allow”. If this prompt didn’t display, go to your device settings to grant permissions to use your camera.
My document photos don’t look great

Technical issues
It’s important the device you use is up-to-date. For example, we recommend you:
- Meet the technical requirements to complete the verification process.
- Update your browser and operating system to the latest version.
