Signing into Vets.gov using DS Logon

Another option for logging into Vets.gov is using your existing DS Logon Premium credential. To begin the process, select “Sign in with DS Logon” from the Vets.gov sign-in page.

From there, you will be redirected to the DS Logon sign-in page, where you'll enter your existing DS Logon username and password to complete the sign-in process.

Once you sign-in to your DS Logon account, the next page will notify you that an ID.me account will be created for them. At this step, enter their email address you'd like to use for your ID.me account (it can be the same as your DS Logon account -or- it can be different), and click “Continue”. Then, you'll be presented with the 2-factor authentication options.

Note: This step is optional, so if you choose not to enroll is 2-factor authentication, you can simply click “No, I do not want to secure my account at this time” to bypass this step.  As a side note, you can always add it at your convenience by visiting https://wallet.id.me.

After completing or bypassing the 2-factor authentication process, you will be automatically redirected to the benefit they were attempting to access using their DS Logon credential.
