Signing into Vets.gov using My HealtheVet

Another option for logging into Vets.gov is using your existing My HealtheVet credential. To begin the process, select “Sign in with My HealtheVet” from the Vets.gov sign-in page.

From there, you will be redirected to the My HealtheVet sign-in page, where you will enter your existing My HealtheVet username and password to complete the sign-in process.

Once you sign into your My HealtheVet account, the next page will notify you that an ID.me account will be created. Enter the email address you'd like to use for your ID.me account, and click “Continue”.  The email address used at this step can be the same as the one associated with your My HealtheVet account -or- it can be different. Then, you'll be presented with the 2-factor authentication options.

Note: This step is optional, so if you choose not to enroll is 2-factor authentication, simply click “No, I do not want to secure my account at this time” to bypass this step.  You can always add 2-factor authentication to your account by visiting https://wallet.id.me.

After completing or bypassing the 2-factor authentication process, you will be automatically redirected to the benefit you were attempting to access using your My HealtheVet credential.
