Steps to verify your identity using a Driver's License or State ID:
1. Enter your mobile phone number.Then select Continue. |

2. You will receive a text message with a link from ID.me on your mobile device.If you don't receive this text message within 5 minutes, go back to the ID.me page and select the Send it again button. Once you receive the message, open it and tap the link to proceed. |

3. Follow the prompts to take a photo of both the front and back of your Driver's License or State ID.

4. You may be asked to verify ownership of your phone.Follow the prompts to receive a text or voice message, and enter any code provided.

5. Confirm your Social Security number. |

6. Review and confirm your information.You may select Edit to make updates or changes, but you may be prompted to join a video call with an ID.me Trusted Referee. Select the checkbox for the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), then select Yes. |

7. Once you see a "We've verified your identity" screen, select Allow and Continue.The screen also shows the information you are consenting to share with Veteran Affairs. If you decide to select Deny, your access to the Veterans Affairs website will be limited. |
