Steps to follow if your document(s) was rejected:
1. Whenever a document(s) you have submitted is not accepted for identity verification, you will receive an email like the one pictured here.Select Upload another document, and sign in to your ID.me account. |

2. Read the error message carefully, to understand why the document was not accepted.When you have acceptable documents in your physical possession, then select Change Document Type to upload from your computer or Take Photo to take a photo with your smartphone, then select Continue. |

Please note that if you change your document type, you may have to upload some or all of your identity documents, even ones not mentioned in the error message. |

3. After you submit your new documents, you should see this screen. |

4. You will receive an email when it's time to join a video call with a Trusted Referee.Wait times may vary depending on call volume and availability. If you receive another email from ID.me stating your documents were rejected, please try again. |
