A video selfie captures a few seconds of video instead of a single static photo. A video selfie helps confirm that you are a real person and actually present for verification, rather than a cybercriminal with a printed photo.
You must use a smartphone or tablet to complete the video selfie, and the process typically takes less than a minute. (Note: If you have previously verified at Treasury and have only taken a still-image selfie, you will be prompted to take a video selfie after authenticating.)
