ID.me’s role in this partnership is exclusively regarding identity verification. ID.me does not approve unemployment claims or distribute funds to claimants. This article explains how to verify with ID.me for Delaware DOL if you received a letter or email.

How to verify
Follow the steps below to verify your identity.
1. Visit Delaware DOL
You may have received a letter or email from the Delaware DOL asking you to verify your identity:
- If you received an email, select the link provided and follow the prompts.
- If you received a letter, type the URL into your browser.
If you’re having trouble with the above options, go to Delaware DOL’s site, scroll down, then select Verify with ID.me.
2. Verify your identity
You can use self-service or a short video call to verify your identity for the Delaware DOL. For steps to verify your identity, visit Verifying for state benefits and services on a short video call.
If you can’t complete the verification process due to an issue with your documents, you will be routed to upload additional documents and complete your verification over an extended video call.
After you verify
If you verified your identity on a video call with a Video Chat Agent, there is one last step you must complete to share your information with the Delaware Department of Finance and complete the 2022 Delaware Relief Rebate Program Application:
- Return to the 2022 Delaware Relief Rebate Program site.
- Scroll down the site and select Check your Rebate Status in the green information box.
- Follow the prompts on the Delaware site, then select Sign in with ID.me.
- Select Allow for Delaware Department of Finance to receive your information, then you can continue with your application.
After you verify your ID.me account with the Delaware Department of Labor, DOL will review your application and will contact you with next steps for how to continue your claim.
