Step 3: Confirm your e-mail address

The next step is to confirm your e-mail address.  

As part of our increased security efforts, ID.me is requiring each user to confirm their email address using a unique code before being allowed to access the offer. Confirming your e-mail address certifies that you are the owner of the email address you provided during the sign-up process.

You will need to create an account using an address that you have immediate access to. Otherwise, you will not be able to complete the confirmation process nor will you be able to access the offer.  

After you create your account, an e-mail will be sent to you providing a code to confirm your e-mail address.  Be sure to watch your e-mail inbox (and spam folders) for an e-mail from "hello@id.me" with the subject "Your ID.me account confirmation code"!

 

Step 1:  After registering with ID.me, you will see the following screen:

 

Step 2:  Keep this window open as you check your email for the confirmation code.

Access your e-mail account using a different window or tab in your browser.  Within your email account, look for the email with "Your ID.me account confirmation code" in the subject line, and copy the code.  

 

Step 3:  Return to the pop-out window, paste the code into the box provided, and click "Submit": 

After successfully confirming your email address, you will be prompted to verify your credentials. 

 

NOTE:  If you are having trouble confirming your account or you don't receive the confirmation code, your e-mail address can also be confirmed by clicking the "Confirm Your Email" button in an e-mail with the subject "Welcome to ID.me Wallet".
