Earn cash back while shopping at your favorite stores, with no limit to the amount you can earn. This article explains the different ways to earn cash back.

What is cash back?

Cash back refers to a percentage of the purchase price. It does not apply to certain items including, but not limited to: taxes, shipping and handling, convenience fees, gift certificates, and store credit. Earn cash back

You can earn cash back by shopping through the ID.me Shop and using our browser extension.

ID.me Shop

Begin browsing cash back and discounts at the ID.me Shop. To earn cash back:

Go to ID.me Shop.
Find a store or brand that offers cash back. For example, a store may offer 'up to 3.5% cash back' or similar discounts.
On the store’s ID.me Shop page, select the button to activate cash back.
Sign in to your ID.me account. You will be redirected to the store’s site.
Add items to your cart.
Complete your purchase.

Note: If you make a purchase directly from a partner website, without starting from ID.me Shop, you will not receive cash back.

Browser extension

Technical tips

To ensure you get cash back credit, follow these tips:

Enable browser cookies: Ensure your browser accepts cookies. If you use software that blocks cookies, change the settings so it allows cookies from ID.me and our retailers.
Update your browser: Outdated browsers can cause issues when making purchases. Learn how to update your browser.
Avoid using private or incognito browsing: This feature can prevent you from getting cash back credit when completing your purchase.
Check for spyware or adware: Spyware or adware can interfere with your online shopping experience. You can download many free adware/spyware detection programs to check for and protect against malicious software.

FAQ

I made a purchase but didn’t start at ID.me Shop. Can I still earn cash back on that purchase?

No. Cash back can only be earned when your purchase begins in ID.me Shop. We are unable to credit cash back for a purchase made in-store or directly on the retailer’s website.

Can I earn cash back for purchasing a gift certificate?

Cash back on gift certificate purchases depends on the policies of the partner retailer. Review the retailer's Terms and Conditions for more information.
