The Domestic Security Alliance Council (DSAC) works with ID.me to verify individuals within the national security industry for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This article explains how to verify your identity for DSAC.
I’m new to ID.me
To access the DSAC portal online, you’ll need to:
- Create an ID.me account using your personal email address
- Add the email address you use with DSAC (if different from your personal address)
- Add MFA to protect your account and verify your identity
- Consent to share your identity information with DSAC
You only need to verify your identity once—then you can use your ID.me account to log in at DSAC and anywhere else ID.me is accepted.
Create an ID.me account
To help ensure you always have access to your ID.me account, we recommend creating your ID.me account using your personal email address. Once your account is set up, you can add the email address you use with DSAC (if different from your personal address) to your ID.me account and then verify your identity. To create a new account:
- Go to ID.me and select Create an ID.me account.
- Enter your personal email address and a strong password, then select Create account. Learn how to create a strong password.
- Follow the prompts to finish setting up your ID.me account and to confirm ownership of your email.
Add your DSAC email address
To successfully verify your identity for DSAC, the email address you use with DSAC must be associated with ID.me.
- Under “Email,” select + Add Email, then enter your work email address.
- Select Send verification. A confirmation message will be sent to your work email address.
Tip:If you don’t receive the email, check your spam folder. You can select Resend verification to send a new confirmation email.
- Select the link in the email to confirm this email address.
After you have confirmed the email, it displays in the “Profile” tab of your account. You can now verify your identity.
