Sometimes, identity verification requires you to take a photo of your face (a "selfie").
If you are having trouble taking your selfie, use these best practices.
- Use a smartphone or other internet-connected mobile device with a phone number. Your device must be able to receive text messages and upload your selfie.
- Make sure you are in a well-lit space. If there is too little light, the selfie can't be taken.
- For best results, make sure your face takes up most of the frame.
- If something goes wrong, read any error messages presented, and follow the instructions carefully to try again.
