Why is Cox Communications partnering with ID.me?
Cox Communications has partnered with ID.me to offer an easy-to-use online identity and documentation verification service. It’s quick, secure and available 24 hours a day.
Where do I go to get verified?
Visit cox.com/ebb to start the verification process.
What will I need to do with ID.me?
To qualify for the EBB, you need to complete a two-part process with ID.me:
- Verify your identity, with your mobile phone number and your date of birth; or upload your driver’s license, state ID card or passport.
- Verify your status as a Public Benefits Recipient. (Be sure to click Allow at the end of the process to make sure your identity information has been shared with EBB.)
What happens next?
ID.me will notify you when you have successfully verified your identity; and again when your documentation as a Public Benefits Recipient has been approved. This process usually takes less than an hour. There is nothing more you’ll need to do with ID.me.
Cox Communications will then submit your information to the federal government for final approval to receive the EBB.
You should expect to hear a final decision from Cox Communications within 5 business days. If you have questions, please visit cox.com/ebb.
