To complete identity verification, you are required to take a short video selfie (rather than a static photo) after you upload your identity documents.
A video selfie captures a few seconds of video instead of a single static photo. A video selfie helps confirm that you are a real person and actually present for verification, rather than a cybercriminal with a printed photo.
You can use a smartphone or tablet to complete the video selfie, and the process typically takes less than a minute. (No smartphone? Click here for other options.)
If you have previously verified at Georgia DOL and have only uploaded an identification document, you will be prompted to take a video selfie after authenticating. Likewise, if you have previously verified at Georgia DOL and have not uploaded an identification document, you will be required to upload a document and take a video selfie after authenticating.
