You must schedule an In-Person Verification appointment, including walk-ins, prior to visiting an Identity Network Location. Additionally, you must be invited by your state workforce agency to register for an appointment, receive a QR Code, and verify your identity in person.
If you have not been invited by your state workforce agency to verify your identity in person, please contact them directly.
Steps to schedule an In-Person Verification appointment:
1. Access the link emailed to you by ID.me.ID.me will send a link to the email address you provided to the state workforce agency to start the IPV process. If you do not see an email from ID.me, please check your spam and junk folder, as well as any other email addresses you may have provided to the state workforce agency. |

2. Sign in to your ID.me account.If you don't have an account, create an ID.me account. Confirm your email by selecting the provided link sent to your inbox or entering the six-digit code. |

3. Complete Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).If you do not have a mobile device, select Backup Codes to generate 12 unique one-time-use codes. |

4. Enter your personal information and select Continue. |

5. Choose an Identity Network Location near you.Enter your zip code or city name to find and choose a convenient location for your appointment. Next, select Continue. |

6. Select a time for your appointment.Choose a date to view the available times at the Identity Network Location you selected. Choose a time and select Book Appointment. |

7. Save your appointment confirmation.Once confirmed, you will receive detailed information about your IPV appointment on your screen, as well as in your email. This information includes:

We recommend that you print and write down all of your appointment information on a piece of paper. Bring your appointment information and two forms of identity documents with you to your appointment. |
