You must schedule an In-Person Verification appointment to get your Registration Code, which is both in the form of a QR Code and a 25-character Registration Code. Once you have scheduled an appointment, you'll receive a confirmation email that contains your Registration Code and important instructions.
Does my Registration Code expire?
Your Registration Code will not expire until you visit and use it at an Identity Network Location.
Can I get a new Registration Code if I lose mine?
Your Registration Code is available in the appointment confirmation email you received from ID.me. Please access your email and search for the subject line “Get Started: Verify Your Identity In-Person with ID.me” in your inbox, spam, and junk folders. If you are still unable to find it, check any other emails you may have provided to your state workforce agency.
You may also schedule a new IPV appointment to receive a new Registration Code. You can do this by accessing the first email that ID.me sent and follow the instructions.
