How do I delete my selfie?

As of March 1st, 2022, “selfie deletion” is now available to all members that have provided selfies to ID.me as part of the identity proofing process, regardless of the partner site where proofing was performed. 

Steps to delete your selfie:

1. Sign in to your ID.me Account.

2. Select the Sign in & Security tab in the navigation menu.

3. Select Privacy on the side bar menu.

4. Scroll down to where it says “My Selfie” and select Delete My Selfie.

5. Select Delete when you are asked if you are sure.

Once a member submits the deletion request, it can take up to seven days until the data is purged. 

The “My Account” page will look like this once your selfie has been deleted.
