The typical document review process may take two to three business days after submission.
Once complete, you will receive an email with status and next steps.
If your documents were approved:
Once your documents are approved, you will receive an email inviting you to check in for a video call.
Depending on our volume of verifications, you may see long and/or fluctuating wait time estimates. Note: wait times to meet with a video agent are typically lowest between 7 AM - 12 PM EST.
If your documents were not approved:
If your documents are not approved, you will receive an email with more information on why, and how to try again before continuing with the verification process.
Why did I not have the option to wait for a video chat agent?
When wait times are high, ID.me doesn't want you to actively wait for your documents to be reviewed. Instead, you can upload and submit images of your documents, and ID.me will email you next steps once your documents are reviewed.
What if it’s been more than three business days since you submitted your documents?
You may need to check your spam folder for an email from ID.me with the subject “ACTION REQUIRED: Check in for a video call.” If you don’t see it in your junk or spam folder, reach out to ID.me’s member support team.
