To verify your student status you must upload specific documents. This article explains what documents are acceptable to verify your student status.
Student ID
If you use a student ID to verify, it must include:
- Full name - The name you enter must match the name on your document
- Issued date - If present, must be within the last four years
- Expiration date - If present, it must be within the next four years
- Academic year or school term - Acceptable through the end of the years shown. (For example, a 2021-2022 ID card is acceptable through Dec 31, 2022).
Digital student IDs are acceptable if they meet the above criteria.
Enrollment letter or certificate
If you use an enrollment letter or certificate to verify, it must be from the school’s office of the registrar. It must also include:

Form I-20
Form I-20 is a Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status, issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If you use Form I-20 to verify as a student, it must include:
- Full name - The name you enter must match the name on your document
- School name - Name of the college or university
- Program of study or start/end date - When your program begins and ends
- School attestation - Signature from the school
- Student attestation - Signature from you, the student
F-1 student visa
If you use an F-1 visa to verify, it must include:

- School information - Information about your college or university
- Issued date - The date your student visa was issued
- Expiration date - The date your student visa expires
