Several cities in the U.S. work with ID.me to verify the identity of residents who apply to access city-owned golf courses.
This article explains how to verify your identity to prove you’re a resident of your city.
Participating Cities
The documents required to prove your city residency depend on the city. Select your city:

To verify your identity as a city resident:
- Go to your city’s Parks and Recreation golf site.
- Register with your city for online reservations and resident ID card purchases/renewals.
Note: The email address you use for your foreUP account must be the same email you use for your ID.me account. - Select Verify with ID.me.
- Sign in to or create an ID.me account:
- If you have an ID.me account, enter your email address and password, then select Sign in.
- If you do not have an account, select Create account, then enter your personal email address and a strong password. Complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) and continue with your verification.
Do you have multiple ID.me accounts?
If you already created a duplicate ID.me account using your work email address or another email address that you own, follow the steps in Using an email address that’s on your duplicate account to make your email address available to add to your original ID.me account.

Verify your identity
Choose how to verify your identity. You can verify using your phone number and date of birth, or by uploading an identity document.
Phone number and date of birth
To verify your identity using your phone number:
- Select Verify using your phone number.
- Enter your phone number and date of birth.
- ID.me will text you a link from a 5-digit number.
- Select the link to confirm possession of your device and verify your identity.
Identity document
To verify your identity using your government-issued photo ID:
- Choose which government ID you’d like to upload. You can verify your identity using a driver’s license, state ID, passport, or passport card.
- Follow the prompts to upload a photo of your government-issued ID using your smartphone or upload one from your computer. Learn how to take photos of your documents.
- Confirm that the information on your ID is clearly legible in the photo and select Continue.
Resident verification
After verifying your identity, you’ll be prompted to verify your residency:
- Enter your address.
- If prompted, upload documents to prove your residency, then select Continue.
- Finally, from the Authorize screen, review the information that your city’s Parks and Recreation golf site will receive and then select Allow to consent to share that information with them.
After your residency is verified, you can begin scheduling your tee times from your city’s golf website.
