Remove or delete an MFA method from your IDMe Wallet
If you no longer want to use a specific multi-factor authentication (MFA) method , you can remove it from your security settings. However, you must always keep at least one MFA method active to keep your IDMe Wallet secure.
Note: If you're trying to remove your MFA because you can't sign in or have a new device, follow the steps to reset your MFA method.
How to remove an MFA method
- Go to IDMe My Wallet and sign in.
- Select Sign In & Security, then select the Security tab. You'll see all of your MFA methods.
- Find the MFA method you want to remove, then select the trash can icon "🗑".
- Select Delete to confirm and remove the MFA method.
