Multi-factor authentication (MFA) options for IDMe

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your IDMe Wallet. After you enter your email and password, you’ll be asked to complete MFA. This article outlines the available MFA options—like passkey, code generator, and text messages—and includes setup tips to help you stay secure and avoid getting locked out.

Common MFA methods and how they work
