What is ID.me Rx?
ID.me Rx is a free program that helps our users save money on their prescriptions by making it easy for them to compare the prices of their prescriptions across pharmacies. Users can easily search and see the discounted prices on included prescriptions on the ID.me Rx website.
Where does ID.me Rx work?
ID.me Rx is accepted at approximately 35,000 participating pharmacies nationwide. You can see if a pharmacy accepts ID.me Rx by searching for any ZIP Code on ID.me Rx or calling the plan administrator at (800) 999-3053.
Is the ID.me Rx card only accepted by pharmacies in the United States?
ID.me Rx is only available in the United States. Participating pharmacies may be located in any of the 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Who can get an ID.me Rx Card?
Anyone! All you need to do is add your ID.me Rx Card to your ID.me Wallet.
Is the ID.me Rx Card digital or physical?
It is digital. You may present the ID.me Rx Card on your phone through the ID.me Wallet mobile app or the ID.me website. You will not receive a physical card in the mail.
Can I use the ID.me Rx Card multiple times?
Yes! You can use your ID.me Rx Card as often as you want. To quickly and easily apply any available savings to your prescriptions, you should ask your pharmacist to store your ID.me Rx Card in your pharmacy’s patient profile.
How much will my prescription cost if I use my ID.me Rx Card?
You have to search for your prescription on ID.me Rx to find out the price of your prescription with an ID.me Rx Card. Since prices are subject to change depending upon the pharmacy and prescription, we recommend confirming the price of your prescription each time.
Is ID.me Rx free?
Yes! ID.me Rx is free—there are no enrollment fees or membership costs and you can cancel at any time.
Is ID.me Rx health insurance?
No. ID.me Rx is a prescription savings program, not an insurance plan or insurance substitute.
Can I use ID.me Rx if I have insurance or Medicare/Medicaid?
Yes! Anyone with an ID.me Wallet can add the ID.me Rx Card. Even if you already have a prescription plan through your health insurance, it is possible that ID.me Rx will find a lower price on your prescription. But the ID.me Rx savings cannot be combined with any other program, such as health insurance, Medicare/Medicaid or other savings programs.
Can I use savings from the ID.me Rx Card and my insurance on the same purchase?
No. The ID.me Rx Card cannot be combined or stacked with insurance or any other savings program. It is used in place of other savings programs, such as insurance, Medicare/Medicaid or other savings programs.
Do purchases with my ID.me Rx Card count towards my deductible or Medicare/Medicaid out-of-pocket maximums or other costs that are the plan participant’s responsibility ("donut hole")?
No. When using the ID.me Rx Card instead of other plans, payment for your prescription(s) will not be applied to your insurance, Medicare/Medicaid deductible, any out-of-pocket maximums, or any other costs that would otherwise be the plan participant's responsibility. The ID.me Rx Card cannot be used in combination with any other program, such as health insurance, Medicare/Medicaid or other discount programs available to you.
Can I use the ID.me Rx Card if I am uninsured?
Yes. You don’t need insurance to get an ID.me Rx Card. It is available to anyone with an ID.me Wallet.
Can the ID.me Rx Card be used for over-the-counter (OTC) medicine?
No. The ID.me Rx Card only provides discounts on prescriptions.
Do ID.me Rx prescription prices ever change?
Yes, our prices are subject to change. To find the most up-to-date pricing, visit ID.me Rx.
Can a Health Savings Account (HSA) be used to purchase prescriptions?
You may be able to use funds from your HSA for most prescription purchases to the extent legally permissible. Check with your HSA plan provider to confirm eligibility.
Is the ID.me Rx Card personalized for each user, or can family members use it?
Every user who chooses to use ID.me Rx receives their own ID.me Rx Card. They may use their card to save on prescriptions for family members, children, and even pets.
How does a user cancel their ID.me Rx account?
You can submit an online request to cancel your ID.me Rx account. From the What do you need help with drop-down menu, select I need help accessing discounts and offers. Then select I have questions about ID.me Rx followed by I want to cancel my ID.me Rx account. Once we receive your request, an agent will contact you with further instructions.
Does the ID.me Rx Card work on pet prescriptions?
Yes! Your ID.me Rx Card can also save money on included prescriptions that are available for pickup at participating pharmacies for your pets. Medications like heartworm prevention medication and flea/tick prevention are not included. To confirm if your pet’s prescription is included, search your pet’s medication on ID.me Rx.
What if I’m having trouble using ID.me Rx at the pharmacy?
If you run into an issue using the ID.me Rx Card at a participating pharmacy, please have the pharmacist call the Pharmacy Hotline at (877) 800-7820. Most issues can be resolved quickly, often while you are still in the pharmacy.
Does ID.me collect data protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)?
No. ID.me does not collect or retain data subject to HIPAA.
How does ID.me protect my information?
At ID.me, one of our top priorities is the security of user information. The systems that process and store user information are covered by security controls such as encryption, access controls, intrusion detection, and many others that are continuously monitored for effectiveness by our dedicated security team.
Our commitment to security is demonstrated by our compliance with security frameworks such as ISO27001, FedRAMP, Kantara, and SOC2 Trust Services Criteria. ID.me uses certified independent third-parties to assess conformance with our security controls including conducting penetration tests.
