Qualifying cash back purchases are displayed as "Pending" in your account within three business days of your purchase. However, your cash back balance does not update until the purchase has been processed or the return period has expired, which can take between 45 and 90 days. This article explains the various cash back statuses and the payout schedules.
Cash back statuses
The cash back status in your account provides information about the status of your purchase and whether your cash back has been paid out to you. You can view the status in the "My Cash" section of your ID.me Shop account. The following table explains what each cash back status means.

|The purchases show up as "Pending" within several business days after a purchase is completed. During a pending status, your purchase is eligible to be returned or canceled.
|Once a retailer's return period has passed, your cash back balance will update with the cash back earned from your purchase.
|The cash back has been paid out to you via your PayPal account.
When you return, cancel, or modify your purchase directly with the retailer in person, by phone, online, etc.
This status update can occur at any point during a retailer's return period. It can also result in a deduction from your cash back account.
|Cash back earned for a purchase is no longer eligible for payout after 12 months from the purchase date.

If non-travel related purchases are not Pending in your account within one week, you have 6 months from the date of purchase to report missing cash back.
Qualify for payouts
To qualify for a cash back payout, you must have accumulated a minimum of $10 in the current quarter. If you have earned less than $10, your balance will be carried forward to the next quarter. Unclaimed cash back amounts expire in 12 months and will not be redeemable after expiration.
Payments are made in US dollars via PayPal. Make sure to link your PayPal account to your ID.me account to ensure that your cash back is paid on time.
When you become eligible for a quarterly payment, you will receive a notification via email when the payment has been sent. You will then have 30 days to sign in to your PayPal account and claim your payment. If the payment is not claimed within 30 days of being notified that the payment has been sent, PayPal may cancel the payment.
Cash back payout schedule
ID.me pays cash back to members via PayPal after the end of each quarter. The date your cash back status moves to “Processed” determines your payout date. For example, if you make a purchase on March 15th, but the cash back status for that purchase doesn’t change to “Processed” until after March 31st, your payout would happen on August 15th.

If the 15th of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, payments will be made on the next business day.
