You are eligible to verify as a First Responder if you are a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) of one of the following entities:
- Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms (ATF) (NOTE: All Employees)
- Amtrak Police Department
- Customs & Border Patrol (CBP)
- Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) (NOTE: All Employees)
- Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) (NOTE: All Employees)
- Department of Corrections
- Department of Defense (e.g. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), etc.)
- Department of Justice (DOJ) Department of Fish and Game
- Department of Public Safety
- Department of State
- Department of the Treasury
- Department of Homeland Security (DHS) (NOTE: Transportation Security Officers do not qualify; for example, Air Marshals & Federal Protective Service.)
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) (NOTE: All Employees)
- Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) (NOTE: All Employees)
- Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
- US Secret Service
- US Postal Inspectors (Postal Inspectors & Criminal Investigators)
- US Marshals Service
- US Park Police
In order to verify your service as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, you will need to submit appropriate documentation.
NOTE: If you are prohibited by law from submitting certain documents, we also accept an SF-50, a training certificate, or other similar documents that clearly show your LEO status.
