Nurses can unlock exclusive discounts by verifying their status with ID.me. This article explains who qualifies, what documents are accepted, and how to complete nurse verification to start saving today.
Who qualifies for nurse discounts
To be eligible for nurse discounts, you must:
- Graduate from a nursing program
- Meet the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license.

Note: Certified medical assistants aren’t eligible to verify nurse status. Instead, verify your medical status.
Documents to verify nurse status
Tip: Your document must include your first and last name and an acceptable nurse position.
To verify as a nurse in the U.S. or Canada, you’ll need one of the following documents:
- ID card
- Employment letter signed by an administrator
- Nursing license
- Pay stub

1. Find and select your nurse discount
To get started:
- Go to the U.S. Nurse Discounts or Canadian Nurse Discounts.
- Browse the available discounts.
- Select the offer you’d like to get. You'll be redirected to the retailer’s website.

Select the ID.me button
The ID.me button most often displays at checkout. You may also need to specify that you are verifying your nurse status. You'll be redirected to the ID.me sign-in page.
2. Enter your information and verify
To verify your nurse status:
- Sign in to your existing ID.me account or create a new account if you don't have one.
- Select Begin.
- Enter and confirm your personal information.
- Enter your nurse license details, including your state license type and license number. If we can’t find your information in the nurse database we use, you must upload acceptable nurse documentation.
- After your verification is accepted, select Allow to share your information with the retailer.
