You may be required to submit a video selfie the next time you sign in to access a U.S. Department of Treasury application.

This article explains how to upgrade to access some Treasury applications.

What you need to upgrade

You'll need a mobile phone that has a camera or a computer with a webcam.

How to upgrade

To upgrade:

1. Go to the login page for the Treasury application you need to access.
2. Select the ID.me button to sign in with ID.me, then complete sign in using multi-factor authentication (MFA).
3. When prompted, take and submit a video selfie using our selfie best practices.
4. After your selfie is accepted, select Allow to consent to share your information with the U.S. Department of the Treasury. After that, you can access the specific Treasury application.

Troubleshooting

If you submit a video selfie several time and it’s not accepted, you will be routed to verify your identity on a short video call.
