Several factors may cause your teacher verification attempt to be unsuccessful, even before you upload identifying documents. This article explains issues you may have and how to fix them.
Information not accepted
The personal or teacher license information you enter during the teacher verification process may not match the records we use for verification. To get verified, we recommend uploading acceptable teacher documentation.
Documents were rejected
If the documents you upload during verification were rejected, we will send you an email with details about why they weren’t accepted. Make sure the document you upload:
- Uses our document photo best practices.
- Matches the job title or position you have at your school or university.
- Has your full name and your job title or position is clearly visible.
- Your credential is not expired.
Expired Community card
Some Community cards expire after a period of time. If you go to your ID.me Wallet and the card is expired, you must take steps to renew your Community card.
