Verify your nurse status to access exclusive nurse discounts in ID.me Shop. This article explains how to verify your nurse status.
You will start the process in ID.me Shop, go to the retailer's shop for the offer you’re interested in, then follow the prompts on the retailer's page to complete verification and redeem your offer.
Eligibility
You are eligible to verify as a nurse if you graduated from a nursing program and met the requirements outlined by a country, state, province or similar licensing body to obtain a nursing license. For specific nurse job titles that are eligible, visit Nurse eligibility.
1. Go to ID.me Shop
Where you start in ID.me Shop depends on if you are a nurse in the United States or Canada.
To get started:
- Go to the ID.me Shop Nurse discounts page or search for discounts, and filter for nurse discounts only.
- Browse the stores that offer nurse discounts. Each store will show how much their discount is.
- When you find a discount you’d like to use, select Unlock to Save or Shop Now. You’ll be redirected to the retailer’s website.
- When prompted, select Verify with ID.me, usually at checkout. You may need to also select that you are verifying for nurse status. You will be redirected to the ID.me sign in page.
To get started:
- Go to the ID.me Shop Canadian Nurse offers, then browse the available offers. Each store will show how much their discount is.
- When you find a discount you’d like to use, select the retailer’s card. You’ll be redirected to the retailer’s website.
- Select Canadian Nurse, then select Continue to sign in. You will be redirected to the ID.me sign in page.
2. Verify nurse status
To verify you nurse status:
- Sign in to your ID.me account if you already have one. If you don’t have an account select Create an ID.me account, then confirm your email address.

Select Begin.
- Enter and confirm your personal information.
- Enter your nurse license details, including your state license type and license number. If we can’t find your information in the nurse database we use, you must upload acceptable nurse documentation.
- Select Allow to share your information.
You’ll see the screen below if your nurse verification is successful.

Troubleshooting
If your verification isn’t approved, select Retry verification to start again. Make sure:
- You enter your information correctly.
- The document type you choose matches the document you upload.
- Your document has your full name and your job title or position is clearly visible.
- Your nurse license is not expired.
- You upload an acceptable verification document and follow our document best practices.
Information not accepted
The personal or nurse license information you enter during the verification process may not match the records we use for verification. To get verified, you may need to upload acceptable nurse documentation.
My discount isn’t working
