When verifying your identity, you can choose to Take photo with your phone or Upload photo from your computer. In the following example, we will choose to verify with a passport and select Take photo with your phone.
Note: If you choose to verify your identity using your passport card, remember to take photos of both the front and back.
Verify your identity with a passport
- Enter your mobile phone number and select Continue.
- You will receive a text message with a link from ID.me on your mobile device, open it and select the link to proceed.
Note: If you don't receive this text message within 5 minutes, go back to the ID.me page and select the Send it again button. - Follow the prompts to take a photo of the picture page of your passport, and select Continue. For passport cards, remember to take a photo of the front and back.
Note: If your photos were not accepted, please select Retry. - If asked, follow the prompts to verify ownership of your phone. Select to receive a text or voice message, and enter any code provided. If you aren't asked to verify your phone, continue to Step 5.

Enter your Social Security Number, if requested.

Review and confirm your information, select the checkbox for the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), then select Yes.
Note: You may select Edit to make updates or changes, but you may be prompted to join a video call with an ID.me Trusted Referee. -
Select Allow and continue to access information and services on the partner website. If you select Deny, your access to the partner site will be limited.
