When choosing to upload photo(s) of your document(s) and/or take and submit a selfie using your smartphone, ID.me will send you a text message with a link to get started. If you do not receive this text message, follow the steps below.
If you continue to have difficulty taking a photo(s) using your smartphone, you can upload a digital copy of your document(s) or use a computer device with a webcam to submit your selfie.
Steps to upload a photo from your smartphone:
1. Select Take photo or Take a selfie with my phone.Do not close any web browser or tab on your computer during this step. If you accidentally close your web browser or tab on your computer, you must start the identity verification process again. To start the identity verification process over again:

2. Enter your mobile device number and select Continue.

3. Access the link sent by ID.me and follow the instructions. |

4. If you did not receive a text message, go back to your computer and select Send it again. |

5. If you still have not received the text message from ID.me, turn off your phone by holding down the power button. |

6. Next, turn your phone on by holding down the power button. |

7. Go back to other open browser tab and select Send it again. |

8. If you still do not receive the text message, repeat Steps 4 to 7. |

9. If you have repeated Steps 5 to 8 multiple times, contact ID.me Member Support for further assistance. |
