ID.me works with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to verify claimants requesting benefits and services online. This article explains how to verify your identity for the Texas Workforce Commission.
Get started
You’ll start by submitting a claim with the Texas Workforce Commission. After submitting your claim, you’ll receive a letter from TWC with instructions to verify your identity.
Sign in to TWC
If you already have an ID.me account, sign in to your account:
- Find the letter you received from TWC and go to the link they provided, then select Verify with ID.me.
- Enter your email address and password, then select Sign in.
- If required, follow the prompts to provide any additional information.
- From the Authorize screen, review the information that TWC will receive and then select Allow to consent to share that information with them. Otherwise, follow the prompts to verify your identity.

Verify for TWC
Find the letter you received from TWC and go to the link they provided, then select Verify with ID.me. For steps to verify your identity, visit Verifying your identity with Self-Service.
After you verify
After verifying your identity:
- Log in to your TWC account by selecting Sign in with ID.me.
- Select Allow to share your information with TWC.
TWC will send you an email notifying you about your eligibility as soon as possible.
