Verified your identity with ID.me but still can’t access your benefits or services? This article walks you through how to confirm your verification, share your info with the organization, and know when to contact them or ID.me for help.
1. Confirm your verification is complete
Before contacting an organization, make sure your identity verification was successful by following these steps:
- Go to the ID.me sign-in page and sign in to your account.
- Select Manage IDs.
- Check under “Active IDs” for a Verified Identity card.
If you don’t see this card, retry verifying your identity.
2. Confirm you shared your information
To check that you shared your information with the organization:
- Visit Managing the information you shared with an organization.
- Check for the following details:
- Website name: The name of the organization you verified for.
- Authorized: The date and time you shared your information.
If you don’t see the organization’s name, go to the website of the organization, select the ID.me button, sign in to your account, then select Allow when prompted.
3. When to contact the organization
If your verification is complete and your information is shared, but you still can’t access their services, contact the organization directly.
Common examples where only the organization can assist:
