When you verify your military status using your .mil email address, we send an email to that address. You need to select the link in that confirmation email to complete your military verification. This article explains what to do if you didn’t receive the confirmation email.
Wait and check spam folder
It can take up to 10 minutes to receive it. Check your spam and junk folders if the email isn’t in your inbox.
Verify with documents
If you still have not received a confirmation email after 10 minutes, we recommend verifying using a document:
- If you are currently serving, verify using your active duty service date.
- Upload a copy of your LES, ERB/ORB, or current military orders (for activated Reserve & National Guard).
- Alternatively, fill out and submit a DD214 request authorization form.
