If you have trouble claiming a discount, you may want to confirm if you successfully verified for your specific community. This article explains how to confirm you are verified for a community.
“You’re verified!” message
After you take the steps to submit your information, which may include identity documentation, we process your request. The time it takes to review your information may vary.
If we approve your community verification, you’ll see a “You’re verified!” message, along with the community that you verified for. Below is an example of the verification confirmation message. You will also receive an email to confirm your verification.
Confirm in your account settings
Another way to check if you were verified is to go to your ID.me account settings, then go to the My Wallet tab. Under Active IDs, you will find any communities you successfully verified for.
If you verified for the Military, select the card, then check if your card says “Service Member” or “Veteran”. The example below is what displays if you are verified as a service member.
My verification was unsuccessful
If your community verification is unsuccessful, select Retry verification to try the verification process again. Review the screen for documentation requirements before you try again. ID.me will also send you an email notification that includes next steps. For example, you may need to submit new documentation or double check to confirm you are eligible.
