Several factors may cause your military verification attempt to be unsuccessful. This article explains issues you may have and how to fix them.
Information not accepted
The personal or military information you enter during the military verification process may not match the records we use for verification. To get verified, we recommend you upload acceptable military documentation.
Documents were rejected
If the documents you upload during verification were rejected, we will send you an email with details about why they weren’t accepted. Make sure the document you upload:
- Is one of the documents from Documents to verify military status and shows all the necessary information.
- Matches your military sub-community. For example if you are a service member, veteran, or retiree.
- Uses our document photo best practices.
It’s also possible that the document you uploaded already exists in our system and is being flagged as a duplicate.
