ID.me has partnered with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (Florida DEO) to help verify your identity for unemployment insurance.
Users who visit Florida's Reemployment Assistance Portal (CONNECT Login) will be required to verify their identity in order to continue their unemployment insurance (UI) claim.

For UI claims, ID.me is limited to identity verification. For information on your UI claim status, eligibility, etc., contact Florida DEO.

Sign in to CONNECT Login
1. Navigate to FloridaJobs.org.Select File a Claim for State or Federal Reemployment Assistance Benefits. |

2. Select Sign up now to create a new account with Florida DEO.Then fill out your information on the next screen. |

3. You will then be required to select a multi-factor authentication method for Florida DEO.You will be required to do another multi-factor authentication with ID.me |

If you've never set up an account with ID.me, select Create account and confirm your email to begin.
Do not create more than one account.

Verify your identity with a Video Call
Once you are signed in to your ID.me account, you can choose to either verify your identity with a video selfie or over a video call with a live agent.
Follow the steps below to verify your identity with a Video Chat Agent.
1. Select Video Chat Agent, then select Continue. |

2. Select Get Started, accept ID.me's consent to collect personally identifiable information, and then select Continue. |

3. Fill in your information and select Continue.Make sure the information you provide matches the information on your documents |

4. Confirm your Social Security number and select Continue. |

5. Select the primary document you would like to use and select Continue.You'll need to upload a photo of two primary documents or one primary and two secondary documents. Your document should:

6. Confirm the name on the document matches the name previously entered and select Continue. |

7. Select either one additional primary document or two additional secondary documents and select Continue. |

8. Choose how you want to send ID.me your documents and select Continue.You will have the option to take photos of the documents with your smartphone or by uploading images from your device. |

9. Upload front and back photos of your document, and select Continue.Not all documents require front and back photos (for example, a U.S. Passport). |

10. Wait for your documents to be reviewed by an ID.me Video Chat Agent. |

Connecting with a Video Chat Agent
1. You will receive an email from ID.me inviting you to join a video call with an ID.me Video Chat Agent; select Check in now to join. |

2. Wait for the next Video Chat Agent to be available.Make sure to have the documents you uploaded on hand, as you will need to show the documents during the video call. Wait times may vary.

3. Confirm that you have your documents and that you consent to having your call recorded, then select Join video call.Video Chat Agent recordings are deleted within 30 days. |

4. Show the Video Chat Agent your documents and answer a few questions to verify your identity. |

5. Scroll down and select Allow and continue after your video call is complete.This step securely shares your identity information with DEO and enables you to access the DEO CONNECT application for which you verified. |
Continue with your claim
1. Return to the Florida Reemployment Assistance Portal site.
2. Log in to your CONNECT account.
3. Provide your ID.me credentials when prompted.
4. Follow the steps for the Florida Reemployment Assistance Portal, then select Allow to allow FL DEO to use your verified identity information.
