ID.me requires each user to confirm their email address using a unique link before being allowed to access military, student, teacher, first responder, or government offers. Confirming your email address certifies that you are the owner of the email address you provided during the sign-up process.
You will need to create an ID.me account using an email address that you have immediate access to. Otherwise, you will not be able to complete the confirmation process nor will you be able to access an ID.me offer.
After registering with ID.me, you will see the following screen:
Keep this window open.
In a different window or new tab in your browser, check your email inbox and spam folders for an email from hello@id.me with the subject "Your ID.me account confirmation code." Open the email and click the "Confirm your email" link OR Open the email and click on the "Confirm your email" link to confirm your email address OR copy and past the link provided in the email to confirm your email address.
Return to the ID.me window or tab and paste the code into the box provided. Click "Submit."
After successfully confirming your email address, you will be prompted to verify your credentials.
