The time it takes to verify your first responder status depends on the verification method you choose. This article explains the different methods and timing for each.
First responder credentials
If you choose to verify using your first responder credentials, like a National or State EMT license/certification number or NFPA ProBoard certification, it should only take a few minutes after you successfully complete the verification steps.
Document upload
You may be prompted to verify your first responder status by uploading acceptable documents. Since these verifications require a manual review, it may take longer.
After we have reviewed your documentation, you will receive an email indicating whether or not your status was verified, and guidance for next steps if your verification was unsuccessful.
