You can connect social, government, and other third-party accounts to your ID.me account to make it easier when signing in. This way, you can sign in using your third-party account, instead of entering your email address and password. This article explains how to connect and remove third-party accounts.

The third-party accounts you can connect to your ID.me account include:

Connect third-party accounts
You can connect third-party accounts when you’re initially creating your ID.me account or you can add third-party accounts to your existing ID.me account.
To connect third party accounts when creating your ID.me account:
- Go to the ID.me sign-in page, then select Create an ID.me account.
- Select a social or third-party icon or select View more options to find all third-party options.
- Follow the prompts to enter your credentials and connect your accounts. You will receive email confirmation of this action.
To connect third party accounts to your existing ID.me account:
- Sign in to your ID.me account.
- In the My Logins section, select Manage Logins.
- Select the social or third party icon you’d like to connect.
- Follow the prompts to add the account(s). You will receive email confirmation of this action.

Remove third-party accounts
If you no longer want to sign in to your ID.me account using a third-party account, you can remove the third-party connection. To remove a connection:
- Sign in to your ID.me account.
- In the My Logins section, select Manage Logins.
- Find the third-party service you want to disconnect, then select Remove.
- Select Delete to confirm you’d like to remove that sign in method.
