Can’t access services after IDMe verification?

Verified your identity with IDMe but still can’t access your benefits or services? This article walks you through how to confirm your verification, share your info with the organization, and know when to contact them or IDMe for help.

1. Confirm your verification is complete

Before contacting an organization, make sure your identity verification was successful by following these steps:

  1. Go to the IDMe sign-in page and sign in.
  2. Select Manage IDs.
  3. Check under “Active IDs” for a Verified Identity card.

If you don’t see this card, retry verifying your identity.

2. Confirm you shared your information

To check that you shared your information with the organization:

  1. Visit Managing the information you shared with an organization.
  2. Check for the following details:
    • Website name: The name of the organization you verified for.
    • Authorized: The date and time you shared your information.

If you don’t see the organization’s name, go to the website of the organization, select the IDMe button, sign in, then select Allow when prompted.

3. When to contact the organization

If your verification is complete and your information is shared, but you still can’t access their services, contact the organization directly.

Common examples where only the organization can assist:

  • Eligibility or account access: Unemployment, veterans’ benefits, or healthcare provider access
  • Forms or information: Issues retrieving forms, payments, or records
  • Website or technical errors: Error messages or locked accounts on their website

When to contact IDMe

Contact IDMe if you’re having trouble with your IDMe Wallet, such as:

  • You can’t sign in
  • You can’t finish verifying your identity
  • You need to update your verified information
