After verifying your identity for the Internal Revenue Service, you can sign in for different IRS applications using your ID.me account. This article explains how to sign in using your ID.me account.
Sign in to the IRS
To sign in:
- Go to the IRS application.
- Select Sign in with ID.me.
- Enter your email address and password or sign in using your social or third party account.
If you haven’t verified yet for the IRS, go to the IRS site, find the tool or service you need, then select Create an account with ID.me to begin verifying your identity for the IRS.
Upgrade your account
If you already verified your identity at another organization and are accessing the IRS for the first time, you will need to upgrade your ID.me account.
