Update your information

- Update the incorrect information.
- Ensure all the information is correct and select Submit.
- ID.me will process your request.
What if my updated information is not accepted?
If your identity information is not accepted after submitting an update, you will be directed to meet with a Video Chat Agent on an extended video call. Video Chat Agents are trained identity specialists employed by ID.me to help verify your identity.
When verifying your identity with a Video Chat Agent, you will be asked to upload photos of your identification documents and show the physical copies to an ID.me Trusted Referee. You may need to provide additional documentation:
- To prove your Social Security number or ITIN
- To prove a foreign address
- If your name has changed
Look for a Verify identity on a video call button to verify your identity on an extended video call.
